Josiah Silverstein earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2015 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2016. He holds a BA in Film Studies from the University of Michigan and a Masters’ degree in Secondary and Special Education. Prior to his career in law, Josiah was a high school math teacher for eight years in both Denver and New York City. Being an educator inspired Josiah to enter the legal profession in order to help people navigate difficult chapters of their lives.
While in law school, Josiah interned under several Arapahoe and Denver District Court Judges. During his second year of law school, he practiced criminal law in the Criminal Defense Clinic at Sturm, representing clients facing a variety of misdemeanor charges.
Following admission to the Colorado Bar, Josiah clerked for the Honorable Catherine Lemon in the Domestic Division of the Denver District Court before joining Taibo Coombe Law as an associate.
Josiah is a fierce and passionate advocate for parents, being the proud father of two sons himself. Josiah is also an avid cyclist and participates annually in Bike MS: Colorado.
