Centennial Family Law Attorney Alisha Taibo

At Taibo Rodgers Law Firm, LLC, we offer a full range of family law services to clients in Centennial, Colorado and throughout the Denver Metro area. Our clients include spouses, parents, grandparents, members of the military and others facing family law conflicts in Colorado courts.

Each case is different. The disputed issues depend on our clients' individual situations and the facts of their cases. Sometimes, family law matters can be resolved quickly with straightforward legal advice. Other times, forceful legal action is needed to protect clients' interests and to manage high-conflict cases.

We tailor the approach we take and the services we provide to my clients' needs. We offer legal services at rates anyone can afford, from traditional, full representation to a la carte services that allow clients to pay only for select services. This way, our clients can pick and choose the help they require. They only pay for the services that they can afford.

We offer comprehensive family law representation, including:

  • Dependency and Neglect: We represent parents, grandparents, and other interested parties in Dependency and Neglect (D&N) cases all over the state. We are well-versed in the Juvenile Code and can help guide you through this difficult process, whether you are a parent in this nightmarish situation or a relative interested in fostering a child involved in a Department of Human Services (DHS) investigation.
  • Mediation: Mediation is a negotiation conference facilitated by a neutral third party, called the Mediator. The Mediator’s job is to help the parties brainstorm solutions and reach a fair resolution.
  • Parental alienation: Parental alienation occurs when one parent engages their child or children in behavior that is intended to turn them against the other parent. Parental alienation is detrimental to children and is more common than you may think. Alisha Taibo Coombe specializes in parental alienation cases and has successfully represented alienated parents and prevailed so that the children were removed from the alienating parent, and healing could begin.
  • Divorce: Guiding clients through the process of dissolution of marriage and resolving all issues involved, including child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and division of property and debt
  • Child support and child support modification: Calculating child support under the Colorado Child Support guidelines, modifying support when there has been a substantial change in circumstances, and enforcing support when a parent refuses to pay
  • Child custody and visitation: Protecting the best interests of my clients' children by determining child custody and visitation (also called parenting time) in divorces and paternity actions, modifying child custody and visitation, and enforcing custody when a parent refuses to comply with a court order
  • Child custody modification: Modifying child custody when there has been a substantial change in circumstances, including a parent moving out of the Denver metro area or out of the state of Colorado
  • Domestic violence and protection orders: Representing clients seeking protection from domestic violence for themselves, their children and their pets, modifying child custody when a parent's actions endanger the emotional or physical safety of a child, obtaining protection orders and resolving family law matters when violence is present in the home
  • Adoption: Assisting parents with stepparent adoption or adoption by a relative or non-parent
  • Prenuptial agreements: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating prenuptial agreements and handling divorces in which prenuptial agreements are involved
  • Dissolution of common law marriage: Guiding clients through the dissolution process when they are subject to a common law marriage, resolving child custody issues and division of property and debt
  • Separation agreements: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal separation agreements in marriages with and without children
  • Maintenance (alimony): Representing husbands and wives in matters related to temporary and permanent spousal maintenance, including determination of maintenance, modification of maintenance and enforcement
  • Grandparents' rights: Protecting the relationships between Colorado grandparents and their grandchildren
  • LGBT Family Law: Including divorce, stepparent adoption, and custody

Going to court is not always necessary to resolve a family law dispute. In many cases, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation, negotiated settlements and arbitration can be used to create solutions more cost effectively. We have in-depth experience with ADR and often guide my clients through the process. However, we never back down when litigation is necessary. We act forcefully as a trial lawyer and take matters to trial to protect our clients' interests.
